Is there elastic for around the wrist? I know my little guy gets his mittens off really easy if there is no elastic.

There is ribbing. How old is baby? I can make a different pattern if he is a larger size. You wouldn' t want it too tight, if we had polyblend or nylon ribbing it would be like elastic but softer on the wrist. If he is strong enough to pull them off, he might need a thumb and velcro closure. The mitten would have fleece trim on edges. Iwould need to make a pattern, and need measurements. Let me know what you were thinking, I'll work with you. I am disabled, unable to work anymore, I got my30 yrs in, thank the lord ! I'm on ss disability. I am busy with requests and will try hard to have quick turnaround, I do see a lot of drs and have various treatments. I have bad and good days. I went to college for textiles and design. I have been sewing over 45 years. I made my first suit at 10. I've been quilting for 37 years, I got 3rd place at county fair on my first quilt (I was competing against grandmas much, much older! I did win a scholarhip, rare in the 70's. Any way hope I've given you some things to ponder.

Baby is 6 weeks old so he doesn't necessarily pull them off. When he is wiggling around a lot and they are loose they just end to come off.

Well my mittens have a snug cuff, I've made thousands of baby mittens over 30 years, never had this issue, and many repeat customers. I've sold out my taggies and mittens a 2 state fairs and several craft fairs, my mittens are my own design and I haven't seen anybody else making my pattern. Same with my taggies, I've seenk a couple but with only 6- 8 ribbons, I have 20-50 ribbons, use different fabric combos, and I try to find whimsy or cute fabrics. I have mostly cheap gin, which happens 95% of the time. I do offer some expensive fabric like carter brands, or character requested and sports teams. For those fabrics I charge a higher gin, to cover my out of pocket, with no shipping.
