Hello sweetie! Thought I would check on this & make a bid to see how much was out there! So, I'm the high bidder for now! Well, I worked my tail off on Sat. cutting my grass, weed eating & using my leaf blower to clear all the grass off the sidewalks and my driveway! And then I finally got my pool cover on! I needed help to get it put on. My pool is a 24 ft above ground pool so the cover for it is HUGE & just getting it all around the pool is a major task in itself and then you have to secure it & tighten it down so it doesn't blow up in the air like a hot air balloon! And just as soon as I would get it almost covered it would start sliding off on one side into the pool and we had to grab it before it did becuz it's REALLY hard to get it back up on the side of the pool once it hits the water becuz then it gets really heavy!! But I am sooo glad that job is over! And of course the wind had to blow almost the whole time while I was trying to get it covered!! I felt like the captain on a ship fighting a storm! And it couldn't just be a nice, calm, sunny day. Oh no, that would make it too easy! lol. I came close to giving up and jumping ship but I managed to muster up just a little more persistence and finally succeeded!! Hooray!! You talk about your feeling of accomplishment!! I felt like I'd just won the Olympics Gold Medal! And deserved it too!! lolololololol!! Now, I just hope it holds out through the winter! Last year's winter just tore my pool cover up to pieces. By springtime it looked like Freddie Krueger had gotten hold of it and just shredded it with many pairs of scissors! lol....It was pathetic! It was tied down and secure but it just couldn't hold up to strong winds, heavy snow and ice & rain that was dumped on it through the winter!! But oh well enough of my swimming pool horror stories!!

Hello Frank! LOL..Lord, it sounds like a battle of Titans around your pool..lol. It is a huge job to do..lots of upkeep too. But oh so worth it for all the enjoyment it brings.. I swim at Jennings Pond and the water is always freezing..heh heh..Love it.. I used to swim at the Farms' ponds but the Snapping Turtles scare me..plus let me see a snake and I'm out of there..

It felt like it was the Battle of the Titans too! LOL. I thought I'd almost lost the battle but then I somehow managed against the wind blowing to get it put on and tied down! Funny thing is there wasn't hardly ANY wind at all that day until I got out my pool cover to put it on! Go figure!! LOL.

Hooray! I'm the high bidder again!! LOL. It's fun for me to imagine that I might actually be the winner even if I don't win.........and then if I DO actually win it's just that much more of a thrill!! LOL. Sounds crazy I know but that's what I do! I think a lot of things I do here lately probably sound crazy to a lot of people! LOL. I don't care! I'm happy & loving God, people & life and I refuse to live in the "doom & gloom" way of life that a lot of people have chosen to live out their life in. And like Barbara Streisand said in one of my favorite songs of hers, "Don't Rain On My Parade!" LOL. That's how I feel about it! Life's too short to live it being miserable! I think we all need to squeeze as much life, love, laughter, and joy out of every single minute that we breathe and enjoy life while we can becuz life was not meant to be endured but to be enjoyed. And I know you feel the same way that I do and also live your life that way too. And that's why you have so much joy becuz when you spread it around everywhere and give it out freely and just sprinkle those little tiny seeds of joy it comes back to you in bushels & bushels!! Not hard to understand really, though. Just God's Law of sowing & reaping! "Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap." It goes for good & bad. We can't expect to reap joy, peace, goodness and other good things if we are sowing seeds of anger, discord, jealousy, spite etc. We are all responsible for the crops that grow in our fields and can blame no one else for the outcome! Well, I'll get off my soapbox now. My family tells me that I should have been a preacher becuz I do a lot of it!! LOL. Probably true too! :)
