The listing, Vintage and Modern 45 piece Jewelry Lot Destash Christmas Gifts or Resale has ended.

This is for a 45 piece jewelry lot... all but a few pieces are wearable/resellable... The pocket watch has some goldtone loss but runs. The black ring with writing is a Lord of The Rings titanium ring brand new never worn retails for $59. There are two other rings that are new never been worn as well... I think they are stainless steel. The Avon pin has genuine sapphires and is a award pin given to representatives. There is also a Monet necklace, a costume goldtone locket that is in great shape . The boxed sets include a genuine opal necklace and a amethyst colored stone set. Many of these pieces would be great for Christmas gifts!!

I have been buying and selling vintage and antique items ranging from depression glass to jewelry for about ten years now, both locally and online via variou sites, so I understand completely. Which is why I was asking because I am very familiar with online sales and shipping various items both fragile and some not so fragile. (Some people also just try to profit off the shipping on this site and that defeats the entire purpose of this site.) So far nothing I've shipped has ever been damaged. I've had a few purchases arrive to me and upon opening them I thought to myself based on the poor packaging I can't believe this made it intact, they got lucky. Thankfully the post office also now offers a tracking number and up to $50 insurance coverage completely free with priority mail service, which helps. Jewelry is the easiest to ship as well. Small and takes much less bubble wrap than glass does. :)

I sold a vintage Italian handkerchief bowl one time... I packaged it with an inch and a half of packaging around it so it was suspended in the middle. I also made sure the "handkerchief" part was supported... that was too nerve wracking for me!!! I love vintage glass but that one time was enough LOL... I buy and sell art nouveau, art deco and Native American jewelry... also design with broken vintage sterling as well... I am quite happy with just sticking to the jewelry LOL

Just curious how you are shipping this for the fee you are charging? Is it a private shipping company like ups or are you using usps? Does it include tracking and insurance as well? I don't mind paying $11 as long as I'm getting shipping services that are worth that. Fanned and watching. Thanks!

I always use tracking and yes I was thinking it should have insurance... I buy and sell vintage sterling. I was going to ship this in a medium priority box which would protect the jewelry boxes. The rest would be in plastic baggies and bubble wrap inside the box as well.. This is the medium box priority rate.. thanks for asking :)

you are very welcome... I take my packaging and shipping very seriously :) I want everyone to be happy with their items and for the items to arrive safely in one piece... I have had several pieces shipped to me in envelopes and pieces of paper.. that is not the way to ship something! I buy and sell vintage sterling ship it all over the world... I have had only one piece be damaged in all the years that I have been doing it. :)

Yup I understand that too. I decided I am sticking to vintage/antique fashion items for my online sales. I use damaged vintage/antique fashion items to design new pieces as well usually costume jewelry and damaged textiles or NOS supplies. I am a wardrobe stylist and MUA by trade and some of my vintage upcycled designs as well as authentic vintage items were just used in a Gatsby themed shoot for an online fashion magazine that benefits and animal charity. I also did the wardrobe styling for the Gatsby spread. Clothing, purses, jewelry, and the like I can handle shipping. Glass is just way too much like work work. LOL I love it, but not enough to sell it online anymore. I leave that to my Mom now. I'll buy it and display it or use it, but no more sales. I actually have some vintage Native American jewelry I have to have a friend of mine who is an archaeologist/antique dealer specializing in Native American items appraise before I get them online to sell. Unless I decide to keep them. I am so bad about that sometimes. Worse with anything Deco and Nouveau... I find items from those era's are the hardest to part with usually and anything Victorian as well. LOL Ah for the love of vintage! ;)

Its so nice to talk to someone who understands the artistic side as well as the joys and sorrows (LOL) of selling vintage online. Your designs sound awesome! Do you have an Etsy shop or somewhere i could see some of your designs? I have some friends online who also have had some of their vintage jewelry bought for TV shows.. one of them had several items bought for the Mad Men series. I think I get just as excited for them as if it happened to me :) ... would love to see your designs. I am addicted to Art Nouveau and Art Deco... a new discovery of mine is plique a jour. I recently acquired a Norway Sterling Guilloche piece too.. fabulous piece! I would love to see some of your NA pieces as well ,,, you know how that is.. its always fun to share and look :)
