I love your auctions you have great stuff. But I am so confused with the buying credits etc. etc!!
My understanding was that Listia allows you to charge for shipping costs only. Is that incorrect? Can I buy credits from you if I don't have enough? Sorry, I am not at all trying to be difficult! I'm a fan and have won several of your auctions! And I see some more I'd like to bid on but don't have enough for the "starting bid" Can you explain how it works? Thanks!

You can only buy credits from Listia. I can't sell credits to you. Listia's credit prices are high .. you will get far MORE credits selling a gift card to earn credits, than buying credits from Listia.

But you do not want to list gift cards (or other items) to earn credits, and choose instead to buy all your credits from Listia ... my listings allow you to CHOOSE to buy my "normal" free shipping listings, OR my paid shipping listings ... much lower price in credits, but you pay for shipping. When you GIN my paid shipping listings, you are spending LESS on the credits you are saving, than you would to buy enough credits from Listia to win my free shipping listing.

Listia allows sellers to charge a reasonable amount for shipping. Other sellers on Listia often charge MORE for shipping than I do, for similarly small First Class packages. So my shipping fees are fair ... they are based on the cost of the postage AND the expensive shipping materials I use (bubble wrap tyvek envelopes).

My opening bid prices are high (one credit below the GIN in most cases) because I can't afford to sell my items on Listia if I sell and ship for less than that. Basically, those listings are "GIN only." I hope that helps!
