is a member of the Soanaceae, or nightshade family.

It grows 3 or 4 feet tall.

makes a great container plant too.

Plant can be over-wintered in a greenhouse environment.

Frilly, double, midnight-purple trumpet flowers with white inside.

Very fragrant especially at night.

I bought a plant last year and wasnt sure where to plant it..so I kept it in a pot and finally planted it.. Not siure of blooming time.. but if I get seeds I will list..:)

It is considered an annual here and can reseed if a seedpod is left on the plant and drops seeds.The seeds can lay dormant in the ground for years also... But ,You can plant in a pot and bring in for the winter.

You can plant anytime..early spring is better for earlier blooms.
