Description

The listing, 5 Hosta 'Pilgrim' Seeds, 2010 has ended.

Hosta 'Pilgrim' is a large variety that gets pale lavender flowers. This plant is for your full shade to part shade garden. Hostas don't do well in sun. I received babies of this plant from a friend this past year and they grew big and flowered for me. I live in the woods in zone 6 and the slugs and deer did not bother with this Hosta. The photo is from Dave's Garden.com. My photos of this Hosta were lost to a computer virus. :-p

Due to current economic circumstances, I will only be shipping on Fridays.

Will they grow in FL? I have a very shady yard. Mail from online and let the mail man pick up your pakages..I DO. Why use My gas. The price of shiping let them pick it up..

They should grow in Florida in a shady place when well watered. I don't have a postal scale, and cannot afford one right now, so my packages have to be taken to the post office to be measured and weighed properly. I don't want them coming back marked insufficient funds, or, as some have come to me from Listia marked postage due, then I had to pay postage on something that was listed as free shipping. It would work if I used only flat rate boxes, but, for most of my listings, flat rate is too much package for too much money. I also want to make sure the seeds I send are hand stamped as marked, and don't go through the postal services' metering machine which smashes them in the envelope.

How about a big plastic pot, or barrel half with a patio umbrella? ;-)

I live in FL, and my hostas grow well in the shade. They are a wonderful solution for shady areas where your sunloving plants won't grow, not even grass!
