It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, but of course, has been used....
The picture quality is GREAT as you can see in the photos. This comes with a wall plug. I believe we had a remote for it, but I can't promise that I will be able to find it, so I will not say that it's included. If I do by chance find it I would be glad to send it with the dvd player.

The plug is to power it...Not sure if it charges it or not but I will check as soon as I can and write the answer in the 1st box where it says reserved ;)

It runs on a rechargable battery, not sure how long battery life is though.

My daughter has also (10yrs) and these things are wonderful if you take long trips frequently, cause not only can you watch movies, but they can be connected to video games as well...I'm keepin 1 at all times, even when kids are grown...I get super bored on long trips too ;) hehehe... VERY nice auction. Very nice of you to bear with those who are new to listia! :) I am sure the remote could be purchased or a universal remote be programmed to it...My kids would love this! (And by the way I think I am one of the few who love to read through all comments, as it prevents me from asking another of the same question! :) Fanned & watching. That Is exactly why I have one more that I can not part with...lol...These were the best inventions ever!!!...well maybe not THE best but I feel it's right up there with tooth brushes and toilet paper...lol..Very necessary!....and to answer your question, YES it can be hooked up through the mp3 jack on your car stereo...I believe most newer stereos have the jacks installed in them, but I'm not so sure about the older ones. We usually have the kids use their head phones but either one is an option

no it only comes with the wall charger....The charge lasts at least 2 hrs. maybe longer but I only tested it through one 2hr. movie and it was still able to play without being plugged in.

No Battery Compartment that I can see....Its rechargeable....Has to be set on the charging mode to charge properly....The bottom says Venturer PVS8380.

Hi! Just curious if you know how old the player is and also if it is Region FREE or if it has a Region code (you might have to power it up and go to the menu to discover this, but it's good to know for those of us who play foreign discs a lot!!) ..
and @necey.. that is actually incorrect.. no one gets any points for clicking the little [+] sign in the comments.. it has been confirmed by (at least) two Moderators over in the forums, check it out if you like (^_^)v

Thank you for let'n us know about the [+] ! But what is it for, did they say? I have always wonder'd bout that...I knew they didn't give credits but do they give anything for it? ...As for your questions, The sticker on the bottom says "Manufactured: August, 2008" ....I went to menu, but didn't see anything about Region FREE..Under the menu option you can adjust the language; OSD Language, Audio, Subtitle, Disc Menu....Then it has Video Menu; Color, Contrast....Then System Menu; Tv Display, Default...I dont know what everything does on this so Id rather not go clicking around on there...I did that once to another one and it switched to spanish & I had a really hard time getn it back to where I could read all the options....Does that help? or do you have any other suggestions for me of where to locate this information?

I plugged it in and let it charge for probably 4 or 5 hrs then put in a dvd and tested it to see how long the charge would hold, and it played through an entire 1hr and 47min. movie and was still going...

Yea I saved a bunch of credits, but spent them on baby items lol. We have another little one on the way. ( a little boy after 2 girls, so you can imagine we have nothing & thanks to listia & generous friends we are moving along, getting the things we really need!--so not many regrets! :-D) I sometimes kick myself too, but not this time, I thought I'd help out :) I know these auctions do very well!
