Description

The listing, Gothic Book Set - Mary Stewart, Barbara Michaels, Phyllis Whitney has ended.

This is a set of 3 gothic novels. They are all great reads! First is a copy of The Turquoise Mask by Phyllis A. Whitney. It's a hardback, copyright 1974. It's missing the dust jacket. second is a copy of Thornyhold by Mary Stewart - paperback. And 3rd is a copy of Wait for What Will Come by Barbara Michael's.

From the back of Thornyhold:
There was only one part of Gilly Ramsey's lonely childhood that was magical - the visits from her godmother, Geillis Saxon, an extraordinatry woman with special powers. When Geillis died suddenly, the grown up Gilly inherited Thornyhold, Geillis's charming cottage in Wiltshire, and went there to live in the lovely English countryside. But nothing had prepared Gilly for the strange enchantment she was about to discover - sinister neighbors, messages from beyond the grave, and even the whisper of love. Just as Gilly began to return the love of an attractive stranger, the inexplicable aura of suspense and witchcraft surrounding Thornyhold turned all too real and far too dangerous.

From the back of Wait for What Will Come -
She was the last of an ancient Cornish clan, and Carla Tregellas had inherited the pride of her family name - a huge mansion that loomed high above the jagged cliffs of Cornwall. She felt at home there right from the start, for everyone seemed so kind and welcoming. Everyone except Mrs. Pendennis, the eccentric housekeeper who advised Carla to leave at once to deter a tragic and inevitable fate. But Carla could not leave - for the invisible bonds of an ancestral curse were just beginning to take hold.
