The listing, Gorgeous, Exotic Banana Lotus Seeds!! has ended.

5 banana lotus seeds! I bought these at an exclusive gardening shop but decided I just don't have the right garden spot for them. They are supposed to be super easy to grow, obviously beautiful, have a heap of different practical uses and possibly extinct in the wild. Apparently a plant of honor in the Buddhist culture as well. Definitely a plant to be shared and cherished. This is my one and only auction of these, don't miss out!

Questions & Comments

They are a natural dwarf so they grow to 4-6' feet. From my research, they seem very easy to grow from seed and very hardy once established. I believe they can even die back after a super hard freeze and grow again in the spring so they're height may depend on your zone and whether or not they are allowed to grow thru-out the year. :)

Thx! I LOVE them too but I decided my dogs would just tear them up like they destroyed my blueberry bushes :( So I'm sharing them instead. I LOVE the cultural history and just wow factor of them. Best of luck! ;)

They will grow back as long as you don't harvest the seeds from them and kill them off.. :-)

What types of "practical uses" do these plants have? I looked them up online and couldn't find any uses besides, of course, they're obvious beauty and cultural/religious links.

That's a great question ;). From my research, it seems that in China they use it for medicinal purposes in several different ways from treating inflammation to drunkenness, but they also use it as food, weaving material, erosion control, & livestock fodder (feed) mostly for pigs.
