Im not sure what happened but one day my wii console stopped working. It turns on, lights up, and goes to the wii home screen but it will not read any discs. Im not sure if this is a easy fix or what but it was a pretty new system before this happened.

Im listing it because I don't know how to fix it and just went ahead and bought myself another one. So now its here up for grabs for my Listia friends! Im hoping someone will know how to fix it and can enjoy it like I did. :)

I have a ton of wii games and need to minimize my collection...so depending how bidding goes I will throw in some random games.

My son's did the same thing, I called nintendo and they told me to try to clean it first then if it didn't work to send it in for repair, my son decided he would fix it him self and threw it across the room it works fine now, I'm not reccomending anyone to do so, but it fixed his, LOL.

Same thing happened to our Wii. We sent it in for repairs...70 bucks later we got it back and it has been working fine. We should have tried the throw across the room method first. The repair cost would have been the same but maybe it would have worked.

it could just be the power supply. A $20 part. Thats what happened to mine and all is well now. Nice auction,,,but a bitmisleading if you are a visual as I am, I thought all the games shown were included.

Have u takin it in anywhere to see what the problem is and see how much it will cost to get fixed? I really want to win this but at the same time I dont wanna not be able to fix it so my children can play the game. I really want this badly. So if u can wud u have a professional of some sort on video game look at it and tell u what the problem is and how much it is to fix it Please can u do that for me. for the person who wins this just an FYI these may not read disk but u can unlock these so it will accept a plugged in hard drive so u can then play any game u can download off share sites and yes nintendo is ok with it they even have games u can buy from them to download to it so this isn't broken yay :) ...... well depending on the year some newer ones are incompatible with the software :)

I would think so. I never had it connected to the internet so I wouldn't know how that works. Im sure it will...since that has nothing to do with the disc reader. :)
