Watching :o) Someone gave us some free chia seeds last year with some peanut seeds we bought. The chia grew really tall, but never flowered. :(

Start them indoors. You want them to flower in the hottest time of the year (for your area), so depending on when that is, allow 4 months for sprouting, planting, etc. I start mine in March, and by July, have flowers, but my window of heat is June-September...and you need bees. No bees=no flowers Plant some perennial flowers so the bees can establish early.
