***PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING***

This is an auction for a Nikon- Coolpix- 10 megapixels and 3x Zoom. 2.5 Inch LCD with vibration reduction. Comes with USB cable, brand new Nikon software cd still in plastic, and battery charger.

This camera was bought brand new last September for my birthday. The camera took amazing pictures and I LOVED it. However, we had a party and someone dropped the camera.

***Now when you turn the camera on you get a screen that says LENS ERROR. The outside of the camera stays open at all times as you can see from the pic. It is supposed to close when camera is turned off. Also, it is supposed to come out when camera is on, but is jammed in. I have no idea how to fix it and do not have the money to take it to be fixed. Maybe someone out there who knows how to fix cameras will bid and can fix this? This was $190 bought new last year. If you are interested please make sure you know the cameras issues BEFORE bidding as I have made it clear.***

Yes, my battery charger still works perfectly. The only thing wrong with this camera is the little lens part that comes out to take the picture is stuck from being dropped. Thanks!

Nope, the screen is not cracked. You can barely see a couple scuff marks across the screen, but absolutely no cracks!! :) Thanks!! Fan ya back!!

Hi, yes the battery comes out of the camera and it does come with the camera!! :) It is rechargable and comes with the battery charger. Still works great. As I said in one of the above comments the only thing wrong with this camera is the lens thing is stuck inside and I can't get it out, so it is stopping the camera from turning completely on and working. It reads, "Lens Error".

I have never tried to fix it...professionally that is. I tried on my own to try and get the lens thing to come out, but it is jammed in there and I can't get it. There are no dents in the camera. A couple small scuff marks, but that is about it. It is just the lens part that is supposed to pop out when the camera turns on is stuck inside, so the camera reads "Lens Error". This camera was brand new in September of 2010, but was dropped at a party in March of 2011 and is now not working properly. It reads the error message and then turns off. Thanks.

when you turn the camera on does it just say 'lens error' for a second then automatically turn off by itself or does the lens error stay for a long time before it eventually turns off?

When you press the power button it turns on. It shows a picture of my three kids and acts like it is loading as it normally always did. It makes a sound as the lens trys to push itself out as it used to, but then the error message pops up and says, "Lens Error". It stays on for a few minutes and then goes to black and eventually shuts down.

No, please read the description. It was dropped at a party we had and the lens part is stuck inside. It now reads "Lens Error" when you turn the camera on. It may be able to be fixed, but I have no idea how or the money to have it fixed. Thanks!!

I have tried doing this and I get it to come out a little, but not all the way. Maybe someone else who has the patience to mess with it can fix it. I have an old stlye digital camera my aunt gave me to use now and also a new Ipod touch that takes pics and video, so it isn't a big deal. I did really love this camera though! It used to go everywhere with us!! ***I forgot to say that this camera used to take video too!!***

I rebuilt a couple of Kodak EasyShare cameras in the past with similar issues... it's really not hard to fix if you're mildly mechanically inclined :) I will watch this one... I could use a good Nikon :) Fanned, too, btw!
