Description

The listing, Indian Blanket Wildflower Seeds (50+) Great gift! has ended.

This listing is for organically grown, freshly hand harvested Indian Blanket (Firewheel) seeds from one seed head. Each seed head should contain at least 50 seeds. The one that I took apart for the photo had around 70. That seems to be the average. I will be taking the seed head apart before mailing because of the bulge they produced in the envelope. I was afraid it was slowing down the mailing time. So I get to do a bit of extra work, and you get to plant and enjoy the show! The seeds keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 years.

I took these photo's and collected seed heads this past month. I only chose the heads that were brown and ready. We have had the flowers growing and multiplying for many years now. We brought some back from Central Texas as cut flowers years ago (they make great cut flowers) and the rest is history. The Indian Blankets are growing in the most inhospitable place in our yard. Very dry, gravel slope. We are in the middle of one of the worst droughts in our areas history here, and they are doing great! Excellent for those dry areas that nothing else will grow in. They will re-seed by themselves and spread nicely.

They will be shipped in a ziplock bag inside a first class envelope the next business day. I will even include an information and instruction card with a photo of the flower. That way you don't lose track of what the seeds were and what the flowers look like. I know that has happened to me on more than one occasion. I try to present the seeds and card in such a way that you could very well send them on as a gift to someone who loves flowers.

I will be getting the information from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center here in Texas. If you would like to learn more about this wonderful flower now, you can visit the site at:

Thank you.

This particular kind is all I have for now. But I did just purchase seeds of a few different varieties, so I hope to have some new ones to share next year. I agree with you. They are some of my favorites too!

As a bonus - if you win both this auction and my Coreopsis, I will double the amount of Indian Blanket seeds, That will then be over 100 Indian Blanket seeds and the over 20 Coreopsis seeds in my other auction. Both will ship in the same envelope, so it saves me postage and an envelope - and doubles your Indian Blanket seeds. They both grow in the same conditions and look great together!
Good luck!
