Does this have a screw on attachment at the bottom? Is it ready to be used on a car as it is?

No, this hood ornament doesn't have a screw attachment. It's broken where the screw attachment should be. So if it is used for a car, it will need to be welded on or somehow attached by other means.

The symbol itself (with the exception of the area at the bottom which is broken) is in great condition. Super shiny, no rust or scratches.

It looks like it is some sort of hard substance that is covered by metal. It weighs 22g or 0.5 oz. So it has some weight to it. I found this quote on the Internet regarding what these symbols are made of:

"The hood ornament as they are called are actually cast in brass and zinc and chrome plated and in some cases they can be silver plated."

I really don't think it is silver otherwise it would have tarnished. When I put a magnet to it, it doesn't stick.
