Hello, and welcome to my auction!

Up for sale is a set of old-timey ceramic salt and pepper shakers in the shapes of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Both stand about three inches high.

Santa has a white bag of toys with a gold (leaf?) closure, and carries two gifts. He has on his red suit and has gold (leaf) on the trim of his hat and coat.

Mrs. Claus wears a red dress with a white apron and cap. The apron has a holly design trim, as does her cap. A green bow "ties" the back of her apron.

Both figures have painted faces, and Mrs. Claus also has painted on glasses. Both figures have painted black shoes, though both have "scuffs" on the toe of one shoe. Mrs. Claus also appears to have some of the gold "leafed" trim missing on the front of her skirt.

On the bottom of each figure is a cork closure and the painted word: "Japan".

Santa has two holes up by the brim of his hat for salt, and Mrs. Claus has three holes on the back of her bonnet for pepper.

Great for a collector of salt and pepper shakers.
