The listing, Custom made dog coat- winner's choice has ended.

The winner of this auction will get to choose the size and color of their dog's custom made winter coat or sweater. You can also choose to have any embroidery done on it as well. I make a lot of these from upcycled sweaters, jackets and quilts, depending on the size of the dog and what I have available.
***Please understand that due to the custom nature of this auction and the fact that I make things for other people besides just here, your item may not ship out within the 7 days. If that is a problem, please do not bid on this auction. I will do my best to get it to you as fast as possible. I will, however guarantee delivery in time for Christmas if you are wanting it as a Christmas gift.

Do you actually call the doctor office because I doubt very many doctors would verify a letter regarding a service dog without knowing who you are, why you're asking, and having permission from the patient. I do think it's great if you to ask for it to keep fakers from passing off their dogs as service dogs.

No, I do NOT call the doctor's office. As long as I have the Rx as stated, that is all that I need if anyone who had something that I made and put service dog on it and they were caught trying to pass off their pet as a service dog.

I did a T-shirt for someone on here a few months ago. All I require is a RX from your doctor, stating that you require the assistance of a service dog. I don't need anything else, I don't need to know why and I don't need to contact your doctor. Just need that piece of paper to cover myself due to the many people who "claim" that they have a service dog when it is only their pet that they purchased items online for so that they can take it wherever they want to.

Yes it is. That is one of the reasons why I try to get all my fabric from here, on Listia. I also upcycle a lot of sweaters, jeans, etc to make pet items.

I do NOT call the doctor's office, since I will have the information on the Rx stating the need for a service animal. Like I've stated, I don't need any other info or personal info from you. It is only to protect myself, since there are so many people who have fake info that they've ordered online, so that they can pass off their pets as service animals. My son is actually a licensed service dog trainer, so I am well aware of the requirements for a dog to be a service dog. I have had some people try to scam me which is why I require the Rx. All I do is put it in a folder and that's it.

This auction is not specifically for a service dog coat. It is for a coat for ANY dog. I just happened to have that one finished and that's why I posted that picture.

All of the pics are of items that have been custom made. I have not had time to make enough of a supply, since I do a lot of custom items, so that is what I am offering in the ads...a custom-made item.

this is an awesome auction do you do orders outside of listia i have a srevice dog and live in wyoming. gets verry cold and have been looking for custom sweaters for him with the service dog logo and possibly do not distract me im working somthing alone those lines?
