Hi there,
It's a sandwich mix containing Alfalfa, Clover, Radish and Canola! It was really hot here last week so I kept my jar in the crisper, pulled it out for a couple hours a day and put it back in after, seemed to keep the sprouts nice and fresh. When I store them, I wrap them in a scrap of cheesecloth then store in a paper bag...they seem to last a long time without getting moldy if I keep the cheesecloth damp but not wet.

quick question: what is a sprouting jar? What makes them different than say, a mason jar?

Not much really, they just have a screen and rubber seal at the top instead of the standard lid.
