I would love some of you better informed Listians out there who know there jewelry and can identify with accuracy anything about these rings for me. Maybe Wheeler? I think there is a "C" in a circle in one. What makes something officially Black Hills Gold? I assumed the leaves and berries made by the traditional companies who make BHG (there are at least three that I know of) Thanks so much for educating me if you can.
That's when you pay the asking price of "Get It Now". All you do it place a bid in that amount and then it is yours because it ends the auction. Welcome to Listia ;D
I know this may be a stretch...but is there any way you can get a picture of the hallmarks..or tell me what they are...I'm curious what on these are black hills...both look like sterling.. That's probably from the flash though...nice nice auction. Best of luck!
Yes, they are sterling. Some of the rings have gold leaves and some are solid silver. These particular ones are just sterling with no gold. I'll try and take a photo after my guests leave tomorrow evening.
The circled C is probably for Coleman and the design like you say is what classifies them I would think. I know most all of the companies that make Black Hills Gold also make their designs in sterling for silver lovers. Love it all myself, but do like the colored leaves the best.
I love the chunkier wider bands and I also prefer the ones with gold leaves on sterling. But I have found some solid silver ones I really love too. I'm just not into the skimpy dainty ones for my fingers. I have worn BHG on every finger all at once before ;D
When I ordered my very first black hills gold ring over twenty years ago it was from Landstrom and I don't remember seeing any all silver rings then, I think they have been added somewhere along the way.
Thanks, Stacy! I just really started collecting them when I joined Listia. I had one given to me back in college - solid gold pinky ring with the tri-color leaves but I lost it so when I found one on Listia I got addicted all over again. I just visually decide when I see one or trust the seller. The stamps are often so small and I am not familiar with the particular hallmarks.
