You are more than welcome to back out of the bidding but I have found that this is a wonderful set and can be used with just about any regular weight of yarn all the way down to the stuff that looks that you make lacey doilies with. Good luck either way! :)

Not sure what the difference is between brands but this is a set that I use and I love them.

I"ve been crocheting for over 50 years and its just my preference. Some hooks are more rounded at the top and some are more pointed, I prefer the ones that are slightly pointed (BOYE) but I can use any of them. I lost most of mine in a move we recently did so now Im trying to replace them.

I am sorry to hear that. I learned to crochet from my great grandma years ago but didn't pick it up until recently. I am really enjoying it again and now that I am older it brings back some precious memories. Good luck!
