Being a newbie I am trying to learn as much as I can ,,,,,,,Regarding your post but first --, , I found out the hard way the Listia " 7 days to send shipping information" Rule must NOT be broken , I am always punctual but , a death in the family I missed one deadline The seller CAN CHOOSE to give a break as far as I know, BUT in my case the seller CHOSE TO KEEP THE 800 Bid AND NOT SEND THE ITEM( on the page it still says "I won' , :( ) AND SELLER GAVE ME a bad rating on my account with no explanation telling anyone its because I missed the 7 day deadline which seems a bit harsh especially considering the seller lost nothing and gained 800 of my coin , ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, NOW FOR LEARNING PURPOSES and Bidding ,Your ad says to contact you in 3 days of the Win -- What would be your consequences ? ........................ ......... and / or, are we allowed to go against the Listia Rule of 7 days (lessening it) as long as we advertise it ? NOTE : I Am not picking on your choice but asking so I know / learn and I am not saying what I learn is what I would choose to do if I had the choice ( Do i have the choice ? ) I HOPE THAT MADE SENSE -- To simplify - "stuff happens" sometimes WHAT IS THE CONSEQUENCES TO NOT MEETING YOUR POSTED 3 DAY TIME LIMIT ...............................................FOR THE RECORD -- .. I Always notify immediately upon the Auction closing, or ASAP if I have fallen asleep /working etc when the Auction ends ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,....... I Have asked 3 others also of which 2 of the 3 didn't post any thing regarding deadlines - to show im not being picky just asking GREAT WAY TO LEARN before I start posting large numbers of Auctions myself , STILL LOTS TO LEARN / I Didn't enjoy learning the "HARD WAY" from another sellers item lol ,,,,,,,,,, Lots I don't know I Don't know ,,,,,,Respectfully From : Wants this item and will be back

thanks I'm sure he will AND I am very happy there are 4 2 of each so his Sisters can enjoy one each leaving him with a set of 2 different ones Kids They may argue over who wants which one of the 2 different ones once he takes one of each Lol They will just have to consider themselves lucky to get one after all they get things that he doesn't want All 3 are into so many of the same things but stuff like this he comes first , His friends at school will be all over him These are cool looking even for me haaa

Haha, yeah the wait can be agonizing sometimes here on Listia. You can try to offset that wait by spending some time listing your own auctions to boost your credits. You can browse through different people's auctions, especially on similar items you want to list yourself and take notes about what you like and implement them in your own auctions.

Good luck! Though bewarned, people tend to "snipe" - bidding at the last minute or even seconds, so sometimes you gotta keep an eye on the auction in the last few seconds!

Good to know Thanks No secret im new here How do most people upload their pictures or you ? whats the easiest way ?I have my web cam can it be done with that ? That's the only reason I haven't been listing my many items Well that and I been busy but if I knew an easy way it shouldn't take long to list right , im hoping anyway Your so helpful your the 1st person I felt comfortable enough to admit / ask about posting pictures Only if its no trouble and when and if you want to and if and when you have the time You don't have to you have already been so helpful thanks again,,

No trouble at all, I like to help others make the most of their experience here on Listia - it can be a bit overwhelming to learn the ropes on your own!

I myself use my smartphone, I'll take pictures and upload them to my computer to process them, but I can also just as well list directly from my phone using the Android Listia app (there's also the Apple Listia app if you have an iPhone or iPad instead). I just prefer to review the images on my computer so I can see all the blemishes. If you don't have a smartphone, any decent digital camera will also do the trick.

A webcam would be doable, though I haven't used a webcam in a long time - last time I used one it was pretty crappy quality. If that is all you have, it is better than no picture at all. I personally prefer a decent quality image to show your product - it lets people know what they are getting, and you are more likely to get more bids as people feel more comfortable bidding on something they can clearly see. So just practice taking pictures so that your photo isn't super dark, blurry, over flashed, etc.

I also find flash photography (I'm not sure if you can do this with a webcam) is easiest to get a decent image, but everyone has their own preferences and you will fine tune how you do things as you practice and go along. Like, did you take that picture on your profile with a webcam? I would say it is a bit dark for product photos so maybe adding some external light source (ie. desklamp) may help.

THANK YOU That was doine directly thru the facebook page thou and I am wondering how to take pictures with my web cam without having to upload them as my profile pic then download them to lista There must be a way to access my web camera to take photos free / separate from facebook , ill need to learn ,its whats slowing me down I Have no other camera at the moment sadly ,, thanks for the good advice the picture I have as my facebook profile is purposely dark and only was changed to that recently ,I am trying not to look attractive to a particular male whos shown an interest Sounds strange but seems its working I Do have a couple other pics better quality ,not dark but still could be better ,I used poor lighting , I took those as my very 1st web cam pics ever , I have much to learn theres no doubt there , too bad its slowing everything down so much , :( lol

Well does your webcam have software that allows you to save pictures to your hard drive? I think it should...there isn't a need to be using your Facebook account to add pictures (I'm not even sure how you do that?), you can just upload pictures to Listia auctions directly from your computer hard drive - at least this is how I do it.

I'm sure you will find a way that works for you and you'll eventually get into a groove of your own on Listia! Everyone has their own methods, and there's lots of ways to get the same job done.

THOU IM NOT SURE WHAT ' BECOMING A FAN ' does for you or me , the purpose , benefits ,gains etc, it seems to be important since I see everyones doing / asking it be done Sorry it took me so long to learn to do it Now im assuming ill eventually find out what its importance / use is for

haha I've never been really sure either... I think the original purpose was to keep track of people you liked, so say you saw someone with items you typically like being sold, you'd fan them to keep track of future auctions. But I think most people just fan each other mostly for the purpose of the Listia badge achievement. People also seem to appreciate it as well when you fan.
