Description

The listing, Silver pocket watch patent lever, full jewelled, expressly examined, key wind condition issues has ended.

Up for auction is a silver pocket watch. It is key wound but the key is missing, It has some condition issues, and I don't believe it works. The serial number is 26955. some of the writing in the watch is: "patent lever", "full jewelled", "expressly examined", "compensation balance", and "DTQ from BFG"

I am NOT a watch expert and as a result I have not tried to clean this watch in anyway as I did not want to damage it.

Does the watch have the front bezel that holds the crystal ?

if the bezel is the circle thingy that holds the watch face on (I know nothing about watches) then no it does not.

Also how big is the watch and what are the condition issues ?
Just a little FYI...the watch is probably made of Sterling silver or at least .800 Silver because of the hallmarks on it. I collect watches of all types, especially keywinds.
Great auction and I will be bidding !!

I will post a picture of the watch next too a quarter to give you a better idea of the size. For now, I would say it is a little bigger than an oreo cookie. The condition issues are that the thing that holds the clack face on is missing, here is no glass or anything over the clock face (im not sure if there ever was anything though), the key to wind it is missing, I have no idea if it works, and there various scratches/worn areas/chips on the edge of the clock face.

Is the wind key missing? Does it work at all? Fanned and watching

The key to wind it is missing. I do not know for sure if it works, but I am assuming it does not.

Even if it doesn't work, it's a neat piece of history. F & W. Will you fan back please?
