Mimosa is a beautiful fern-like tree with fragrant 2 inch pink pompom type flowers that produce seed pods in the winter months. Mimosa trees usually form a umbrella shape and are stunning specimens for producing a light shade area in the yard or even patio. They seem so whimsical with the fern like leafs that close at night and open in the morning!


Climate Zones & Light
The mimosa is hardy in zones 6 through 10. This deciduous tree can tolerate temperatures as low as -10 degrees F with no adverse effects. It grows well in many different lighting conditions, ranging from full sun to partial shade.

Growing Info:
Soak seeds for 24 hours. Plant seeds 1/4-1/2" deep. Keep moist. Will grow as much as 36" per year until mature height is achieved.
