The listing, JAPAN SPOON REST has ended.

This spoon rest has been with me for tons of years and for the holidays I was given another one. I choose to share this with you my Listia friends. She is from the 50's in perfect condition and is stamped on the back painted in Hong Kong. This is the funny part. It is partially illegible but does state made in Japan Painted in Hong Kong! Beautifully Painted with a person sitting and flowers painted on the stem.....Free Shipping.

I agree, and you can believe I had second and third thoughts about giving this one up. But enough is enough, and I was giving something that I have to use, so it's bye bye ole friend!!! LOL!

Sorry Sherry, I was given not giving, although it is both! Have fun bidding and I am happy you appreciate it. It is quite different as the stamp on the bottom states made in Japan and painted in Hong Kong! Now thats funny!

That's ok! I love auto correct on everything nowadays! I had a beloved spoon rest for many years and the handle broke off - but I kept the 'spoon' and use it also for tea bags and such. I bought a replacement at World Market and although it is lovely and functional, it is mass produced and just not the same! This one is so lovely and being hand painted, really just has that added touch! But I know how hard it is to give something away that has been with you for so long - you just hope for the best and pray the piece finds a good home!! ;o)
