Sad that people have no trust and have stopped believing in word of mouth. I've always been an earthy person and could care less exactly how old it is. It's an amazing piece that has seen animals that are now extinct. It's absolutely wonderful :)

If you put a human bone in moving water, for 40 years, it will only be carbon dated to 40 years, plus a very close estimate of the humans age. Water doesn't age elements. That being said, the geography of Kentucky 300 million years ago was vastly different. I wouldn't say this petrified would is that old, but it is still a great find.

Cool. How did you get it? It cannot be 300 million years old. The great flood aged the world and that is why when things are examined scientifically they seem older than they really are. Just my opinion based on the fact that the world is 5765 years old if you believe that the world was created by g-d and not a silly explosion. . I am not denying that this wood is valuable or that it isn't really old.
