The listing, Vintage Bear Fetish Large Native American has ended.

This is an authentic native american bear fetish. It is missing the arrow that was handmade and went down the top front of him. I've had him since 1980's and he is made from a green stone, and I'm sorry but I don't know the kind. He needs a good home. He has a very tiny chip on the left snout, barely seen.

He measures 2 1/2" long by almost 2" high, so he is not a small bear for these fetishes.

Bear medicine means strength. He certainly has been around for awhile.

He's really nice. He just lost his arrow that was on him, but I've kept him anyway. Been through lots of moves. Needs a good home.

Very nice even though the arrow was lost; one could easily create a replacement!

Soapstone is often used for carvings as it is on the softer side and carves easily.

I was going to get around and make something but never did. I believe his arrow had been made out of jet, which is also very soft.

I got him so long ago, but you are probably right. I lived in Arizona at the time and bought a lot from the indians and from some local galleries. He was purchased from a gallery in Arizona.
