these are pretty neat...I couldnt help myself and had to buy them. A rose seeds appearance depends on the variet. Some are small and brown, some are large and brown, such as these up for auction, and some are white. The seeds are located in the ball known as the rose hip which is where the bloom meets the stem. The ball is full of hairlike fibers and the seeds are encased in these fibers. Its a pain in the rear to harvest them, but well worth my time! I have red, magenta, pink, light pink, purple, lavender, blue, yellow, pale yellow, peach, white, and and black. Some combo colors appeared as well after I cross polinated the blossoms last year.

Oh yeah, I theres more than one way to start germinating these...Mix one C water and 1 Tblspoon hydrogen peroxide. Soak the seeds for 6-12 hours and remove them from the water. place them in starter soil moistened with the mixture you made and put them in the fridge for 3 months. After three months, put them somewhere inside where there is daylight, but not where the sun is directly on them. Dont let them get above 80 degrees and when they sprout and the weather is consistantly 70-80 degrees daily, transplant them into a bigger pot and wha-lah! You have roses for the summer! :)

Oh, I forgot to add that when you water them over the next three months while in the fridge, use the 1C water/1TBLspoon mix but make sure they just stay moist...if you get the soil too wet they will rot.
