This is a wonderful memorial to a man special to all of us at some time in our lives. His memory and films live on.

* John Wayne, 1907-1979, played many memorable roles during his 50-year career, but he is perhaps best known for characters exhibiting the rugged individualism associated with the American cowboy. He won an Academy Award for his role "Rooster Cogburn", the one-eyed marshal in "True Grit" in l969. In an effort to continue John Wayne's fight against cancer, The John Wayne Foundation was established in his memory.

Are these the ones that they only ran for about a yr and the post was made to quit running I know they ran 2 different kind my dad is a big collector but real interested... Is this the only sheet u got ????? Thanks. F&W

I heard that there was something..no idea what...between the postal service, the stamp and the John Wayne Foundation. Maybe you could check with USPS.com or Google the question. So sorry I can't be of more help. I bought these because I adore him, but am clearing out my stamp stash.
