This is a cold hardy plant. Mexican petunia is a great plant for gardening. Features pink, five petalled flowers and long, evergreen leaves. Mexican Petunia grows to 3 ft. in height. Flowers appear in the summer and fall, and attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Tan, cylindrical seed pods form when the flowers are fertilized. This is an easy to grow plant that tolerates both wet and dry conditions. Note: these seeds are for wild-type Mexican Petunia, which can spread.
Growing conditions: Sun: Fun Sun to partial shade

Water: Does best in moist soil, though it tolerates periods of dryness. This plant does well near water.

Cold-hardiness: USDA zones 8-10. Can be grown as an annual in colder regions.

Germination: Seeds are small (roughly 1 mm in diameter). The seeds are viable and germinate easily. The seed pods explode to spread the seeds.
