My mother had my room done up in Holly Hobbie when I was very young. I can barely remember it. She was sick my whole life, & passed when I was only 14 yrs. Old. She was only 34yrs old. I miss her so much! Everything that was good & whole died with her. So I cling to the very few memories I have. This is an extraordinary auction! Thank you again for listing it!

Thanks for sharing, I know it can be tough. Every time I see an owl it reminds me of my mom..she collected them. I was lucky to have her until she was 80. But, you lost your mom at an early age so it's different for you. So many unresolved feelings.

Hi again,
Mrs. Adams here and yes, busy times...
To add to that we have no running water
At the office due to burst pipes.
This winter Maine has suffered like never before with snow and cold records.
I love this specific Holly Hobbie lamp because of what it says-so endearing! I hope toward the end of the auction I'll have enough credit to bid. It's really gorgeous! Take care and thanks for replying :) Greetings from Central Maine

Omg that sounds worse than alaska. We are having record high temps this year..today it was 60 degrees..50 miles from the Pacific Ocean, upper-middle part of oregon. Crazy weather all over the country this year. And you are up late! Lol. Or is it early? Catch you later.

I'm surprised to see how many people have such good memories associated with Holly Hobbie. It's kind of nice how certain things from our childhoods stir up sweet memories.

Hello again,
Just shared your auction on FB
Little did I know last night
I was getting very ill with acid reflex and a stomach flu bug.
Good news, I'm still alive, thank goodness.
Usually I stay late but not that late.
How wonderful you have good weather...
We are dealing with major winter disasters here in Maine.
Take care :)
Good luck with this amazing auction!!!
By the way I was born in 74
so indeed it makes me feel like an antique too LOL!

Hi! You have some cute auctions going on right now. I'm surprised you have time for listia as busy as you are this time of year! But, I guess you have to unwind somehow...lol. There was a whole series of these lamps made with different sayings on them...way back when. Once in awhile I find one. They are usually unused because no one wanted to get them dirty. It's strange to think that the 70's are vintage now! Thanks for stopping by, it's good to hear from you. Lulu
