Description

The listing, Cypress Vine ( Hummingbird Vine ) 20 Seeds has ended.

These seeds come from my moms backyard garden in Indiana. She collects thousands of seeds from these flowers a year & gives them away. They're kept in a smoke free home. They are a great reseeding plant & will drop seeds every year to come back in the Spring.

Here's some info about the cypress vine.

Cypress Vine is a a fast growing, flowering vine, with an abundance of bright, star shaped flowers. Cypress Vines will grow and climb to quickly cover it's support. It is a member of the Morning Glory family.

It produces hundreds of small, star shaped flowers in the summer.

Butterflies and Hummingbirds are attracted to the bright blooms.

As a flowering vine, they need some type of support to climb. A trellis or fence works well.

Plant Height: 8' - 15'

Other Names: This plant is also called Hummingbird Flower and Star Glory.

Cypress Vine are grown from seeds.

Tip: To improve germination, soak seeds overnight before planting.

Sow Cypress Vine seeds directly into your flower garden after all danger of frost has past. Plant seeds 1/4" deep. Seeds sprout in 5-10 days.

How to Grow Cypress Vine Plants:

Cypress Vine plants are easy to grow. Grow in full sun. Plants prefer a rich, well draining soils to fuel their fast, season long growth.

Plants like a lot of water and nutrients. While they like lots of water, they do not like wet soil. Keep soil moist, not wet.

Cypress Vines need some form of support to climb up. Trellises or fences work well.

Keep the areas weeded when plants are young.

Cypress Vine can be invasive, as they are good "re-seeders". If the pods are allowed to open and pour out their seeds, you will find many new plants next year.

* The seeds always work for me but of course I cannot guarantee if they will sprout or how they will grow for you. It depends on how you treat them & plant them. Since these are free and the shipping is free, I cannot refund your credits if they do not grow for you.
