Description

The listing, Warmest Crochet Slippers Ever! has ended.

These crocheted slippers are very thick, double soled, super warm, comfortable and feature the popular "Crocodile Stitch" cuffs! I will make a pair specially for you! I live in the mountains outside of a small town so, unfortunately, not every specialty color is available to me. Otherwise though, if Red Heart makes it, the color choice is yours! I only make adult sizes at this time. I will need to know your shoe size & the length of your foot in inches. (Sorry, I don't know metric)
If you see a pair in the pics that you like & it is in your size, these are ready to ship immediately after this auction ends. If not, it will take me up to a week after you tell me your size & color choices to make them & ship. If this is not acceptable to you, please do not bid.
The sizes for the slippers shown are:
Pics 1, 2. 3 & 4 - Size 9/10
Pics 5 & 6- Size 8/9
Pics 7 & 8 - Size 7/8
Pics 9 & 10 - Size 7/8
Pics 11 & 12 - Size 6/7
I have not yet measured the length of the soles but, I will.

One last biggie! If you are allergic to dogs, cats, birds or smoke - DO NOT BID!!!!
I try very hard to keep animal hair out of my projects but, inevitably, there will be a stray dog or cat hair crocheted in there somewhere. Invisible dander is always in a home with animals & I have no way to control that.
I have been smoking for 47 years so, not likely to ever quit. I am not proud of it but, neither am I ashamed. Every textile item that leaves this house is heavily "Febreezed" & given time outside to air before being packed for shipping. If anyone has suggestions for anything more I can do to improve this, I am always open to ideas!

All Listia rules apply.
Must have verified address.
Any address emailed/messaged to me will be ignored.

Please follow the rules. If you do not, I will keep credits & relist.
No bidder's/buyer's remorse. Please be sure you want this before bidding.

Thank you for looking & if you bid --- good luck!
If you fan me, thank you! I will fan back!

Can you make an even larger size?? I wear a Womens 12, so finding things aren't easy. These look like they would keep my cold toes toasty. Truly love them, and may have one other person to get these for too.

Yes I can. A size 12 is definitely one I can do. For me, the smaller sizes are harder because I crochet tightly & the smaller the hook, the more it hurts my hands. I know how hard it can be to find things in the right size too. I am 5'6" but, very skinny. A size 2 is long enough for my legs but, I have to wear a belt & bunch the waist together to keep them on. It's not fun.
These are really warm slippers. Sometimes when the heater is on, I have to slip them off for a few minutes because I get too warm! They are definitely not for summer around here! I do the double sole both for extra warmth & so I can take my dogs out to go potty & not have to put on real shoes. :)

I have the same trouble with my hands as well. I used to do lots of the Annie ' s Attic patterns including dolls, flowers, seashells all in crochet and tons of pillows and afghans. I belong to a ladies church group called "HOP" Hooked on Prayer that makes prayer shawls, lap throws and baby items. Just can't do much anymore because of the arthritis. I'm an artist so I have to reserve the use of my hands for the portraits these days. I've done quite a few through Listia and have several more I need to start on. I love it though and it keeps me busy.

Well now I'm jealous! I can't draw a stick figure! I will definitely keep an eye on your auctions in case you list some more art!
I agree, arthritis makes things harder these days but, I keep crocheting. My doctor told me many years ago that my hands would work longer if I kept using them. She told me to keep crocheting, just don't overdo it. I did & I can still use my hands so, maybe she knows a thing or two. Hmmm. Lol.

Thank you! I fanned back! I must admit, it took patience to learn the Crocodile stitch. Mostly because there are no "easy" instructions out there. Everyone does it a little bit differently. At any rate, once learned, I love it! Crocheting is my fun time. Potty training the pups is where patience comes in for me! LOL.

Ha. You sound like me on the subject of smoking! I pretty sure stress from my grown children will be the death of me!

Oh my, I hear that! My granddaughter would be thrilled if I quit but, I actually enjoy smoking. I'm lucky really. Most of my friends & family accept it as a part of me & I try to be very considerate of others. Just don't tell me to put it out in my own home or car!

Do you have any in a women's size 7 or 71/2 Thanks Carla

Yes, I do! The 2 pairs in pics 7, 8, 9 & 10 fit my friend who wears size 7 1/2. Hers fit her perfectly. Of course, if you win, you can choose different colors. Those just happen to be ones I have ready to go. Thank you for asking!

Love your slippers! I do crocheting as well but don't have much luck with slippers and caps. I usually go barefoot inside but my feet get cold so this would perfect. F&B

Thank you! I have no problem with hats or slippers but, baby items are my downfall. The smaller the hook, the more pain in my old hands. I tend to crochet very tightly & my hands get cramps & become stiff. I love thread crochet & especially those gorgeous Annie's doll patterns but, they take me forever to do. I have to keep putting it aside until my hands feel better. One of these days I'll try those ergonomic handled hooks! Keep practicing! I know one day you'll do wonderful hats & slippers! These slippers are very warm & comfy. I wear mine every day. I know you'd enjoy them! Good luck if you bid!
