Cabbage 'F1 Stonehead' produces densely packed medium sized, green round heads. Weighing around 2 to 3 kilos (4 to 6 lbs), this excellent variety produces cabbages with creamy white hearts and a lovely crisp texture.
It is a compact variety that is suitable for high density production and is especially useful for smaller gardens and veg plots as they can be planted closer together at spacings as little as 30cm (12in).

Stonehead aptly describes this type of cabbage, as its head is harder and more solid than other species.
This mid to late season variety takes 50 to 70 days to mature. It can be sown successionally from February to mid June for harvesting from June right through to October. Resistant to black rot and Fusarium yellows, it holds well in the garden without splitting, so there is no need to hurry the harvest.
