Up for auction are to of the best by actor Tom Hanks. First one is pictured is "The Da Vinci Code" based on the very popular Dan Brown novel set in France and has Hanks playing a symbologist that unwillingly gets thrown into the search for the Holy Grail. His compatriot, Sophie, played by Audrey Tautou is in search of it as well, but for different reasons. There are many trying to stop them, including Silas, the creepy characther played by Paul Bettany, who is an Opus Dei practicer hired by the Church to protect the secret. One of my favorite movies. This movie and case is PRISTINE, NOT A SCRATCH ON THE MAIN DISC, OR THE SPECIAL FEATURES DISC. The special features disc contains Featurettes and interviews with Dan Brown, Dir. Ron Howard, and Tom Hanks.

The second movie listed is "Castaway" is my favorite Tom Hanks performance outside of "Forrest Gump." Hanks plays a FedEx employee whose plane crashes in the South Pacific. Hanks was nominated for an Academy Award for this film (and somehow did not win)...Hanks learn to survive on the island and then, when rescued, assimilate back into normal society.
