Yes, I have over 45 CASES for the iPhone 4. And I understand where you're coming from. I have over 300 cases and not the time to add such specific details in the title for every single case. I have three jobs full-time student at school, 5 kids beibg homrschooled, and I'm the secretary of SGA

You sound like me! I homeschooled my kids. Now they're grown. My youngest 2 are handicapped & home with us. between my work (I run a business), do volunteering, and dealing with special needs adults it gets crazy. Glad you understand. Could you just try dipping it in water without the phone in it and see if any water gets in? I'm hesitant to use the case on my $500 iPhone if you won't use it on yours.
