First reports said it was a U.F.O. Panic -stricken observers soon learned the bad news. It was not an extra-terrestrial spacecraft, but a pterodactyl-like monstrosity spawned by our atomic meddling. Then the news got worse. There were two of them!

The director and special-effects expert from the original Godzilla reteam for the pyrotechnic extravaganza Rodan. Once again, they've got the right emphasis. Cities burn. The ground splits open. Rockets explode into fireballs. And the winged giants destroy everything in their path... until military forces finally conquer them. But is's only a momentary victory. To quote from the film's finale: "May not other and more terrible monsters even now be stirring in the darkness?"
