This is 183.2 Grams of Green calcite!!!!!

The basic make up of Calcite is calcium carbonate, and it forms in water. It is one of the constituents that make up a large number of sedimentary rocks, including limestone and marble. These crystals are commonly quite soft and have a lovely shiny look to them. They may be transparent or opaque, and many have bands of mixed colors.

They also have an unusual feel to them, which some people describe as soapy or waxy, and their texture is a little different to other crystals. Some of these crystals are acid treated to enhance their color, and this may also make them feel more slippery than they might otherwise be.

even now I keep finding myself going back to look at all the pictures having never seen one before and GREAT PICS BTW. Does it feel heavy or cloud like? lol I have so many questions and so jealous ....where did you find it or did you mine it your self sorta looks like cross between jello and a gummy bear texture. i wish i could just hold it. Guess only us rock hounds can stare at rocks for hours and be so fascinated lol.Does it glow at night i wonder lol Crooked man must be having a good laugh. I am a kid in a candy store with great rock specimens. sorry lol

It's soooo nice... smooth and cool. Not Brrrrr Cold just coolish! As for heavy, the 183 Grams is equal to just over 900 carats!!!!! Can you imagine a ring with a stone that big???? OUCH! It does not glow but in a soft lighting it feels like you can see the energy hover around it, it's a very different cut for this type of stone than I have seen just watching it do nothing fascinates me, but again, I am easily amused watching rocks a as I can tell you are too!!! LOL!!!

has a wonderful magikcal energy to it. I can sense how powerful yet gentle it is. more like the strong but loving hugs mom would give. but you just can't put it down.. I think crookedman would agree with some stones you just like the way they feel and make you feel and would love everyone to experience that feeling and at the same time be selfish and hide away and just keep them to yourself. Not a whole lot more makes me happier than making others feel the energy and love these things posses, If I could send a hunk out to everyone I'd be thrilled.....flat broke but thrilled...that's kind of why I am cutting back a bit on my auctions...The shipping is kicking my wallet, and the prep work is taking a toll on my not so healthy self... Since I am the collector, lapidary, (cut & polisher) I'm being pulled in a million different directions, and neglecting important things at home and am tired of my Doc throwin my butt in the hospital....lol!

Lisa, I do my mining. I have had to practically do it only in the western states now since my liver bailed, but if I wasn't home, or at work at the hospital you could find my in the Rain forests of Madagascar, Brazil, Africa, etc... They do feel very cool and look slimy and wet, they re soft and dry.... I need to run but will be back in a few hours, I'm starving!!!!!

it glows you know like opalite..in case others didn't know that. about this..another.one of nature's natural glowstiks. would love to have one this big but being a rock hound lol i really would love to own a piece . so if you have any smaller ones PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LIST some. people do not realize shipping on stones is costly and not to mention the work time effort and love and sweat involved mining them yourself. i feel makes them more special. So I am one of those who understand and do not mind paying for shipping. Inspite being handicapped and on fixed income.it bad enough and a rock hound you know what went ino it. plus i can read the energy on stones lol. The winner will be quite pleased with his one. extra special.

xoxoxo it's amazing how so many people have so much in common. I'm just waiting for a liver, but my crystals , stones. and good friends keep me going, not to mention a 3000 dollar a month meds script... I have always been on the other end of the hospital patient and can admit, I'm kinda a grouchy patient. LOL! Oh and that huge disability check really pays.....for my gas to get to the bank....lol!! (sad but true) thank the stars and sun and moon for a pretty good retirement package...and Hell-o no I'm not that close to retirement age... my liver and Holistic doc are helping regenerate my dead liver slowly. :)
