does this have the strong spring? some are spring assisted but the spring is not strong enough for penentration. In other words if I put it to my hand and open it will it go through my hand or just stop when it hits my hand?

To be honest I have no idea how to answer your question. You are asking about the spring but the spring has no effect on how the knife will penetrate. The spring effects how the knife opens and this knife opens all the way will with one pull on the lever. If you put your hand in the way when you pull the lever it would stop. Chances are you would get cut but it isn't going to slice through your hand.
