The listing, "Counter Stamped" Quarter has ended.

As a very observant person, I noticed this quarter within my change. I had asked a coin person what this is suppose to mean, and was told it was a misstrike by the Mint. I had done some research and discovered it to be a "Counter stamped" coin, which is popular among some merchants, only merchants, and has a very interesting history behind it. These coins of course are sought, and the interesting part is trying to investigate who the merchant is.

Questions & Comments

From what I understand this is not a misstrike. This would just be a counter stamp. Something that was done to the coin after it left the mint. Just my opinion

Yuuup...Oddnumistics25 is correct. It is a counter stamp, not a mint error.
