These look like they are made of brass. I have a set VERY similar and mine come from India. If they are what I think they are then they are very valuable. Very beautiful too if you shine them up a bit too. Gel toothpaste and a washcloth work wonders with making those shine. They are beautiful.

After a bit of research I believe you are right. I do believe they are from India, hand forged and made of brass. It looks like they are worth about ten dollars each :) dothou have any other information? Thank you for your help!

How would you use them, hang them in the garden?

They can be used for drinking or for candleholders. Mostly though they are just used for decoration, sit and look pretty in a mantle or something. Not much else I'm afraid. Wish I could be of more help. They are truly beautiful, good luck with the auction. Hope you get lots of credits for them and the lucky winner enjoys them. :)

I have a few of these, mine are brass and shine up well. I've had mine for more then 25 yrs. mine do not have markings on them though. But I still love them! They go great with my kitchen and dining area decor I did with an Italy theme. I never thought of using them in my alter though , since I have a marble one I use there but nice idea so thanks gypsy13lenz! I'm back at a stand on fanning but when I can I will but def watching! ◕‿◕
