Lil Mermaid has a very haunting song she sings. You press her around the waist area to make her sing. Most of these dolls for some reason, have to be pressed very hard to make them work. Maybe with age, their bodies harden. But she does sing with the 9-volt battery (included) you put in her crown. I haven't put her in water to see if she still changes color or not. Didn't want to get her beautiful hair wet. She's in excellent condition. Her hair is perfect. You'll love her. Thanks for looking. She is 14 1/2" tall.
