1896 - $5 "Presenting Light" Banknote - Silver Plated - Commemorative Coin
(Please note the first 3 pictures are from the website just to show detail, the other pictures are the ones I took. Sorry about the quality of my pics, I did the best I could with the equipment I have)
In 1893, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing approached a small group of artists to submit proposed designs for a new series of banknotes. Just three designs were ultimately issued in 1896, among them, the $5 "Electricity Presenting Light to the World" banknote, featuring Ulysses S. Grant and Philip Sheridan, defenders of the Union during the American Civil War.
Limitation: 9,999 Minted
Weight 54 grams
Obverse: 1896 - $5 Dollar Presenting Light Banknote
Reverse: Silver Certificate

This coin is made by American mint, and lists on their website for $80.00 dollars. I think this coin is exquisite and beautiful, but I think the reason they are asking so much is, no one else makes these, there were only 9,999 made, and you can't get them anywhere else. The one I have was given to me in a trade with a Great Listian!
