This auction is for a new Irish Claddagh ring. I believe it is a size 9, but could be an 8. I forgot. I bought it new from someone who makes them, but the band isn't shaped perfectly. You can tell it has been resized. It's a very dainty ring. The ring was described as sterling silver and it is marked 925 inside the band, but I cannot guarantee it. It was slightly attracted to a magnet. I don't know if that means it's not sterling or what.

The Claddagh ring is a traditional Irish ring given as a token of love or worn as a wedding ring.

The Claddagh's distinctive design features two hands clasping a heart, and usually surmounted by a crown. The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of love (the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown).

There are three traditionally accepted ways of wearing the ring which may signal someone's relationship status:

When worn on the right ring finger with the heart pointing to the fingertip, the wearer is free of any attachment.
On the same finger with the ring turned around, it suggests someone is romantically involved.
When the ring is on the left hand wedding ring finger it means the person is married or engaged.

I do list my auctions to where I will never need more than a week to ship and also so I don't have a fortune in shipping costs at one time, so please do not ask me to shorten the days. This is what I must do in order to offer free shipping to my buyers.
