10 'Indian Shot' Canna Indica SEEDS
Beautiful Red Flowers!!

These get, on average, 5' - 6' (I've even had some up to 8 feet!) tall with large, bright red flowers and tropical, deep green foilage from summer to frost.

Cannas are just so easy to grow and with very little care they develop into real beauties. They grow in nearly any soil and multiply themselves in a blink of an eye. They do well in full sun or partial shade and even in containers! Wouldn’t these look GREAT next to your pool or deck? They definitely add a tropical feel to any yard! They bloom and grow best if they get watered and fertilized regularly and thrive in consistently moist soil, but that isn't necessary I grow many of my cannas in regular garden conditions (even dry conditions) with excellent results.

These will bloom the first year planted from seed.

These are hardy to zone 8 and higher. In zones 7 and colder, you should dig up, store over winter and replant after last frost in the spring - or keep as container plants all year long!

Growing:
When growing Indian Shot from seed outdoors, it is best to sow at a depth of 6 mm in the late spring, when the last frost has long passed. If planning to grow Canna seedlings indoors then the seed first needs to be chipped with a knife, and then soaked in warm water for two days. The seeds (which may take from a month right up to a year to germinate) should be kept at a temperature of about 22°C. If you are successful in growing seedlings, then they should be planted about 50 cm apart in a sunny part of the garden that has good drainage.
