Yes it was opened I even put my iPad in it. But honestly I wanted some color in my case lol. I'm girly so I went with bright colors that's what I like but it is a very nice case and works beautifully. I used it for 10 minutes lol. Hope this helps. Good luck (•‿•)

I didn't quite understand your question. But this is designed specifically for an iPad 2,3 and 4th generation. So other tables may not work if they don't sport the same dimensions. Hope this helps. (•‿•)

Hi, Ok so that would be considered a 10" tablet. So if another tablet of that size had Bluetooth it could possibly use this Keyboard/Case. Awesome...
