Description

The listing, Solid 14k GOLD AND DIAMONDS 1960 Bulova ladies 23 jewel watch has ended.

Up for auction is a beautiful, vintage 14k gold and 4 diamonds Bulova ladies watch!

I thought of selling this for a long time, and with gold prices skyrocketing I might regret letting it go! But, I have lots of old watches, so it's time to get rid of a few!

The watch isn't running unfortunately, I wound it but it doesn't tick, so it does need some work. But I think it would make a beautiful gift for a lucky lady if you can fix it up! :-)

The watch is SOLID 14K WHITE GOLD with 4 diamonds set around the bezel. It's about 1 and 3/4 inches long. Delicate little thing, I'm surprised it wasn't melted down!

This would be perfect for anyone who loves vintage jewelry, or maybe someone who collected watches! I'd really hate to see this melted down, so I hope whoever wins it can love it for years to come!

Free shipping to the US!

Wow I have a watch that is almost identical to this one!!! Not white gold though, I am going to go take a look at it, as mine is gold (need to check and see if it is real or fake gold) But I am thinking it has to be real as mine is from the mid 50's to early 60's and has no signs of discoloration like fake gold gets.

Send me some pictures of the front, back, movement and any other stamps on it. I collect watches so I can help you identify when it was made, and how much it's worth :-)

So, the band is not solid gold, and the back is probably stainless steel, then how much of the watch is solid gold?

The watch itself is solid gold, it's clearly marked so. The band is RGPed

This watch is gorgeous!! The only problem would be is to find someone who works on old watches these days and if you do find one it costs a fortune. It might be worth a try though. Even just to wear it for show would work. I fanned you and will be watching and if I have enough credits i will be bidding.

Thank you!
You might be able to find a watchmaker who could do the work, or find a replacement movements for cheaper.

You might just want to take it to a jeweler and have it cleaned. They are able to tell you what it wrong and let you know what it would cost to fix it. That is a beautiful watch and back in the time it was mad, that was a very expensive watch. Working it would be very valuable now as a time keeper collector would say.. I have a watch from the early 60's of my mom's. It is a Wittenauer. When I was a kid, Soda pop and beer bottles were worth a nickle for the quart bottles and 2 cents for the smaller ones. We went around the streets and collected them for a couple of months and our dad would trade them in. He saved all of the money he got for them for us and we bought this watch for our mom for her birthday. It cost us $85.00 and it STILL runs. It has all of the original parts in it too. All I had to do was have the insides cleaned to get it running when it stopped and that was a minor cost at the time.
Watching( haha) and fanned you. Please fan back

I'm a long time fan and love this watch for myself and my daughter. I enjoy wearing vintage and fine jewelry well made. The reason some bid and back out is they are seeking, to buy cheap on Listia and sell the gold at the pawn and gold dealers. It is a thorn in my side, esp with talent and artistic skill having logged in hrs on this piece. Wish I had more money, for credits, or Listia would charge less. I'm 59, on the 20th, got some bad news from docs and want to past this to my 31 yr old daughter. She's been a gem. Thank You Esrange for sharing this with us, I must have look at it a hundred times. My mom had a nice watch similar to this too! But I donated her belongs to the homeless she housed on her passing. I want this one, maybe, the bidder above will throw her bids my ways HUH!lol fann ya again
