The listing, Fenton Dolphin Handle Fan Vase Ebony Black Glass Excellent Condition! 5 1/4" Vintage has ended.

This is a Fenton Dolphin Handle, Ebony black vase #1533.
Measures about 5.25 inches high, 6.25" wide including handle. Foot is 3" diameter and the fan section about 1" deep.
Excellent condition--no chips or cracks--it's perfect!

From what I've read, it was made in about the 1930's

I've never seen such a black color in a vase..very intense..blacker than black..so black it looks purple at times. I think I have to have my eyes checked!

no, it's too old. From what I've read Fenton didn't start putting marks on their glass until the 1970's. This vase came in many colors and I think the ebony one is one of the more rare colors.

Fenton used paper labels as far back as the 20/30.s.The company began incisingheir name in 1976 I believe.Many os the paper labels did not survive but all itms were labled by Fenton from the start of the co.I hope this helps but do goggle the vase for surety.

Just looked it up the ebay site dates it at 1934 so the paper label would have been right.The black was the most expensive one being offered so this is a really great opportunity for a collector.Nice :)
