There's a story to this. My childhood friend's father owned MEXX in Holland before he sold it to Liz Claiborne. I got this scarf before MEXX was sold.
This is a purple velvet triangle shawl. It's about fifty inches long with a fringe.

Great condition. It's burnt velvet as in the fabric designers pulled out parts of the velvet making a design which looks "burnt".
