This listing is for a Set of 25 Small Opalite Carved Elder Futhark Rune Stones with Runic Symbols Card & Cute Drawstring Bag! NEW! The Runic symbols are carved in a gold color! The gold looks pretty on the Opalite stones!

These runes, often called The Elder Futhark Runes, consist of 24 stones that contain carved inscriptions along with one (1) blank stone. (Blank stone denoting not yet known or a space in time.)

These runes are very pretty, smooth and cool to the touch! The inscriptions have been carved into the Opalite stones! They are really nice!!

Please review all photos for the details of this set! The items shown in the photos are the exact items you will receive! The penny in the photos is to show the size of the Rune Stones!

The Futhark runes have a colorful and dated history. There are literally several hundred known inscriptions dating back to the first through the fifth century.

The areas of what is now known as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Scandinavian countries have yielded the greatest artifacts. Inscriptions were found on jewelry, utensils, weapons, bones and stones. Most were discovered in grave sites and bogs.

Rune masters and rune users equally indulge in the throwing of the runes for the magical, practical, and playful applications they provide.

Harry Potter fans like them for the LOTR (Lord of the Rings) soliloquy. WoW (World of Warcraft) enthusiasts find them fun and very often runes are used as markers.

There are many good books available to teach you the throwing of the runes!

Yes, they are all Opalite. Some are more opaque than others but they all have a pearlescent sheen to them! It's hard to capture that shimmer with my camera!

If you look closely at pic 2, there is a clearer shot of one with the "M" symbol on it that you can see the shimmer on it!

Most opalite stones tend to look yellow/amber/golden if held up to the light. I have two stones with me right now, and if held against something dark, they appear blue/milky white, but when against something white or up the a light source, they're the color of the sky at sunrise/sunset. :) Not sure about the pink shimmer.
