Genuine Rainbow Obsidian Heart Pendant Necklace with natural Aquamarine, Alexandrite 10 mm beads, Amethyst chip, round dyed purple Jade, purple crystals, small Rose Quartz beads accentuated wtih clear and black beads.

Whew!! I think I opened up my gemstone container and used a bit of everything!!!

Necklace is 22 inches in length. Obsidian heart is 1 inch in width and a wee bit over 1-1/4 inch in height.

I have to confess... I have bid on necklaces and bracelets for the sole purpose of taking them apart for the beads!! I also know the frustration of not having enough credits. I just went on a bidding spree and I have a grand total of 1 credit with 24 credits on my watchlist!! I have more of all the beads except the obsidian. Maybe I could do a quick auction of loose beads. I will have to wait a couple days though, due to my "Build your own" auction.

I love this! My only problem is i dislike having to take a necklace off as it makes me feel 'bare' and i have yet to find one with the stones and durability i need :/

I would really love an auction of loose gemstones. I need them for Feng Shui a lot more than I need more jewelry. And there seems to be a lot of jewelry makers on Listia who also want loose gemstone beads and chips. My only concern when I bid on gemstones is if they're truly real. Faux gemstones would actually defeat my purpose for them. I know of one "gemstone" jewelry seller on Listia who consistently sells fakes and rakes in a LOT of credits for them. I and some other Listians are working at having her ousted permanently and we will prevail. We can't have a woman like that cheating and defrauding innocent people. She has gotten away with it for a long time because it's very rare for any buyer to have a jeweler check out the "gemstones" when they receive them. Some have however and in every single case the stones were fake. I think she may be suspended from selling as she has had no auctions listed for awhile. I hope Listia is investigating further. Most people won't lie, cheat and steal and for that I'm grateful. I love Listia and am very fond of Listians. :))

For Feng Shui what you really need is gemstone rough, I have heard. The more natural the state of the rock, the better it is able release it's properties. Faceted gemstones are the least powerfull. They are pretty, don't get me wrong, I love me some gemstones!! And I have buy my gemstones from one Listian as I have taken them to jewelers and they are genuine.

Color also plays a part in the strength of the gemstone. Pale Amethyst is much weaker than dark Amethyts. I have some Amy in the rough, but it is a very pale specimin (sp) so I have to constantly clean it.

When I am drawn to a stone, Morganite, I buy it in the rough, tumbled, bead and faceted!! when a stone calls me, I want to give it the best opportunity to help me!!

I have some rough and tumble stones I can auction. What I don't have are working batteries for my camera!! As soon as I can, I will get the auction posted.

OK, thanks for the info. Very interesting. I thought, or might have read, that the more valuable the gemstone is the more it will pull in wealth for the owner and it's true, color saturation is the first consideration in determining a stone's value, but I thought that a gemstone being of good quality and faceted is worth more than rough, tumbled, etc., comparable number of carats taken into consideration of course, and therefore of more use to me. Feng Shui has its own remedies for healing, romance, wealth, success, spiritual growth, etc. and I've been studying it for awhile now, find it fascinating. It has been proven to work, repeatedly, when applied properly. Everything boils down to energy, including the energy our bodies emit (auras) and Feng Shui is all about good and bad energy flows and opening the good flows up with furniture placement, the use of colors, and even the use of a good compass to determine our best directions for various aspects of our lives. It's a big subject and takes quite a while to learn. One can get various books written by Lillian Too, whom I once saw on PBS, and she is the best in the field outside of China. She was taught by a master and learned well. Her books can be had very reasonably on eBay if anyone is interested and she's very clear and easy to understand. If one wants to learn for their own use they can do that with a few of her books, it doesn't require years of study to bring about positive changes.

I have not studies anything. I have read a couple of books on a lot of different subjects! LOL My opinion is: Value is a manmade concept. The rock that my grand daughter picked up out of the driveway has just as much energy as the piece of Kyanite I have it sitting next to in the Family quadrant of my bedroom.

For me, and just my opinion, the more natural, the more freely the energies are able to flow. I also think tha tthe intent is a big part of releasng energy. When I place a piece of Citrine rough in the far left corner of my room, I place it there while asking for XYZ. I then place 3 Garnet rough with the same intent. The citrine and garnet can work in harmony then.

It works for me. May not work for others.
