This is a 2011o Topps Lineage "Diamond Anniversary" foil refractor for Hall of Fame legend TRIS SPEAKER of the Boston Red Sox.

Loved by fans of both the Red Sox and Cleveland Indians, the two teams where he spent most of his career, Tris Speaker was NOT a first ballot Hall of Famer; to be fair, he was on the ballot in 1936, the first year of the Hall, and got nearly 60% of the vote in losing out to Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Christy Matthewson and Walter Johnson. In context, though, Speaker finished ahead of Cy Young on the first ballot. Speaker collected over 3500 hits and a record 792 doubles. He stole over 400 bases, drove in over 1500 runs, and won an MVP award. His career average was an eye-popping .345 ... oh, and he got elected to the Hall of Fame in 1937, still collecting more of the vote than Cy Young.
